Nothing gives me more confidence in the office than a powerful outfit.

I talked about my workwear uniform in this post featuring a pant + blazer combination.

But today let’s talk about a power dress.

I recently discovered a brand that creates the perfect pieces for a gal who wants to look professional, powerful, and still be comfortable all at the same time: Nora Gardner. Her pieces are all made locally in the garment district of NYC and all made by women! How sweet is that?!

Today I am wearing their Lizette dress in Navy (also available in black though!).

With the 3/4 length sleeve, it’s a perfect dress for this chillier season.

I also love that all of Nora’s pieces are an appropriate length. When you buy any of her pieces you don’t even have to think twice as to whether it’s appropriate for your office!

This Palermo jacket might look like a regular black blazer, but check out the detail on the collar! It also comes in a rich merlot color that I love!

Such gorgeous pieces for the office! They are on the pricier end of the scale, but I find that workwear pieces are always worth the investment. I mean, all the men wear expensive suits to work and we all stare in awe at them because a man in an expensive suit is 1) usually very successful and 2) taken very seriously. So why not invest in more expensive pieces for ourselves as women too?!

Plus they have a longer life span compared to a less expensive piece.
