Transitioning Outfits From Summer to Fall: A Mini Skirt

Now that there is almost no green leaf in sight and only red/orange leaves covering the trees, it’s time for a little change in wardrobe.
Two weeks ago I rotated my shoe closet. I put away all the summer sandals and pulled out my fall booties since the weather is now too chilly to wear slides to work.
Therefore, I figured this would be a good time to show you how I transition my summer outfits into fall. You’ll be surprised to learn that my closet is actually pretty small, maybe about 4 feet in width. Even though technically I am a fashion blogger, I don’t like to keep a lot of clothes (maybe I’ll show you on my insta-stories sometime this week). So I definitely rewear my summer clothing throughout the fall, but just jazz it up a bit to keep me warm in the colder months.
Today I’m sharing how I’m transforming my fave summer look into a fall appropriate look.
I’ll be sharing two other outfit transformations on Wednesday and Friday this week so stop by LEL again.
I talked about how much I love blazers in a post before, so I won’t get into that here. All I’ll say is you NEED one! It’s perfect for work, for throwing on when you’re cold whether it’s summer or fall, for making any outfit (even a graphic tee) look polished, and many more reasons.

Over-the-Knee Boots are also another classic that are a fall/winter staple.
I love how they can elongate your legs, compared to short booties.
These boots have been in style for as long as I can remember and they are not going out of style any time soon. I highly recommend you purchase a pair for yourself this season, it’s been life changing for me.
I purchased these on Amazon roughly two years ago and have been obsessed, but sadly can’t link them anymore. I did find a few other options that look gorgeous, some on the luxury side, but there’s also some affordable ones linked. Now that I see how often I wear OTK boots, my goal is to invest in a luxury pair since my current Amazon ones are getting a bit worn out. But until then, an affordable pair does the job just as well!

Once the weather turns colder and winter comes, I’ll be adding a pair of tights to this look to keep the skin on my legs from looking like raw chicken skin 😜
See, who said you can’t wear your summer clothes in the fall/winter?!
