Suede Skirt & Lace in SoHo

Happy Monday, friends!

This will sound so cliche, but I cannot believe it’s September already. How did summer fly by so quickly?! And now fall will be here in like three weeks, whether I am ok with it or not (FYI: I am so NOT ok with it!)

My instagram feed is starting to be filled with fall looks and forcing me to think about the cooler weather despite the fact that I am so not ready for it and just trying to take in the warm summer weather as best as I can while it’s still here. Anyone else feel this way?!

Anyway…

Today I thought I’d share with you a look that I wore back in July when Charming & I spent a weekend in NYC.

I am not a big skirt wearer (is that even a word?). However, when I found this asymmetrical suede skirt at LOFT I just HAD to have it! It’s not too hot to wear in the summertime, but it’s such a great piece to wear even in the autumn!

I paired this skirt with this top because I love the crochet/lace detail on the neckline. So fun, so feminine, so pretty.

As much as I dislike the cooler weather, these colors (and pieces) would be great for a fall look as well actually. Although they are more summer-like pieces, you had totally rock this look with some cute booties + a blazer/cardigan. Replace the booties with some knee-high boots and add a coat so that you can even rock this look in the wintertime! I also can’t wait to pair this skirt with a chunky knit sweater in the wintertime.

On another note, how pretty is this floral display in front of the cutest store in SoHo?! I know, I know, you’ve probably seen every blogger and their mother post photos on instagram in front of this storefront, but I had to do it too. I mean, how can you not?!
