Our Honeymoon in Aruba!

If you follow me on instagram, you may have already seen some snippets from part one of our honeymoon in Aruba. Today I thought it would be fun to share some more photos of our trip to the happy island!

We stayed at the RIU Palace Antillas Adults-Only resort.

For the first two days, we stayed in a room on the 13th floor, which came with a beautiful view of the resort and crystal clear waters!

For the rest of the week, we upgraded to a lovely villa!

On one of the days, we went on a sailboat cruise to the Spanish Lagoon, where we snorkeled, swinged off a rope into the blue waters, and had a private chef cook us a lunch on the boat! Sailing around the island was definitely an unforgettable experience!

Parasailing has been on my bucket list for forever and was finally crossed off in Aruba! It was a bit crazy with the winds, but definitely well worth the experience over the Caribbean sea!

Fun fact: half of the island is uninhabitable and is therefore a national park! When we went off-roading, the tour guide drove us through the park to the Natural Pool for a little swim and snorkeling. Then, we headed to the Natural Bridge.

Another fun fact: Aruba is about 20 miles in length and 5 miles in width! Such a tiny island!

Something that I wish we had in Philly is Aruban food. We had the all-inclusive package at the resort and had a chance to try four different restaurants/genres of food, however the Aruban restaurant was by far my favorite!

Now, let’s get to the most epic experience of our trip to Aruba – the flamingoes!

The flamingoes have their own island that is about a 10 minute boat ride away from the main island. You can literally swim/tan with flamingoes wandering around two feet from you! What an incredible experience it was!
