New Purchases I’m Excited About

Hi friend, it’s been a while! I gave a little recap of what’s been going on in my life in my newsletter on Monday (subscribe here if you want to be part of my exclusive newsletter, the LOVELY edit) and today want to share about some new purchases I’ve made in the past few months that I haven’t shared yet but am super in love with + excited about.

SPORTY SPICE

I’ve been really leaning into my more leisurely self + wanted to include two items I’ve been loving.

I think by now we’re all aware of the best leggings ever, the Aerie Offline Real Me ones. So for the summertime, I’ve purchased the biker shorts version. And they have been on major rotation.

To add to my sporty girl outfit, I also purchased this Lululemon fanny pack. Another great decision of mine, if I do say so myself. I totally understand why fanny packs have been such a hit for years + years. I’m glad they are now becoming more socially acceptable again.

FANCY SHMANCY

If you follow Denise on IG, you might’ve seen her share this super great find. She shared an Etsy shop that turned buttons from Chanel blazers, clothings, etc into earrings. When my husband & I were in Montreal, he purchased me a dainty pair of Chanel earrings. Sadly, a year later I lost one of them. I’ve been wanting another pair of Chanel earrings ever since but, as you might know, they’re pricey. So when Denise shared this Etsy shop, I jumped on it immediately. It’s a great way to still get a real Chanel item but for a better price point. I purchased this button pair + this logo pair.

This bag from Francesca’s has been the cutest little addition to my handbag collection. It looks similar to a mini Hermes Kelly bag but for waaaaay less $$$.

I’ve loved Zara for blazers, but recently I also fell in love with their selection of slides. I purchased these pearl woven slides + these leather with a chain slides + have been OBSESSED! They are comfy and can totally dress up a boring casual look or complement a more dressy look.

CUTE + COMFY

Dresses have been my go-to outfits this summer. Instead of choosing pants, a blouse, a belt, etc to put a look together, when you’re wearing a dress you only have to think about choosing one piece of clothing instead of 3+ items that work together. It’s just so much easier! I’ve also been opting for more flowy dresses because they are just so comfortable! It’s basically like wearing leggings + a tshirt to the office but way cuter. H&M has been my go-to place to shop for my dresses this year. Here are a few I purchased + have been loving: Plumeti Chiffon Dress, Short Shirt Dress, Puff-Sleeved Ruffle Dress.

You would never think of denim pants as being comfy, but you’ll change your mind once you try PAIGE denim. I’ve been wearing them for over two years now and never want to stop. Recently my sister and I went on a day trip to NYC + stopped by their store, where I introduced her to the best denim ever. On that trip, I decided to purchase two more pairs for myself, the Hoxton Crop + Sarah Slim (wearing these in the photo above). They are pricey, but they are SO worth it!
