Doing a full face of makeup is definitely fun, but let’s be real – it can get exhausting if you’re doing a full face every day. Especially if you really don’t have the time or would prefer to make time for something more important.
Therefore, I thought I would share with you my 5 minute makeup routine for days when I would prefer to get an extra 15 minutes of sleep rather than wake up and do a full face of glam.
This routine literally takes me 5 minutes. If I have my eyebrows tinted, I can get this done in 3 minutes.
Before I go into my quick routine, I must mention the following warning…
The reason I am able to have such a quick morning makeup routine is really due to my nightly skincare routine. I’ve talked about this in this previous blog post. My skin used to be HORRIBLE and there was no way you’d make me walk out of the house without a full coverage foundation. However, due to my skincare routine, I’ve been able to transform my skin to the point where I am ok with not wearing foundation in public. So it’s really crucial that you focus on the health of your skin before you focus on the makeup needed to make you look good.
Now, without further ado, the following are the steps I take for my 5 minute morning makeup routine.
This step only applies if my eyebrows are not tinted already (look out for a future post on how I tint my brows!).
I have been using the same eyebrow pencil for years now, so I have this step down pretty well.
This Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil is my go-to!
I use a L’Oreal pencil for this step. If you’re unfamiliar with what tightlining is, watch this tutorial. This step just makes my lashline and lashes look thicker.
This step is pretty self-explanatory.
I LOVE the Le Volume de Chanel mascara, which I talk mentioned in this post about the best mascara ever. But I also use the L’Oreal Lash Paradise since the Chanel mascara can be pretty pricey to repurchase every month.
As a final step, I set my eyebrow hairs with the Anastasia Clear Gel. It’s essentially a hairspray for your brows.
If I have some extra time, I’ll use a powder foundation for some light to medium coverage all over my face and then add some blush to add some color to my cheeks. However, usually I’d rather spend that extra time drinking a latte at home instead of putting on makeup.
So there you have it! Super simple and easy steps to my morning makeup routine.
