March was bittersweet. It had a wonderful start with warmer weather but then the COVID19 lockdown happened. I know he’s an adult, but I felt so bad that my hubs had to celebrate his birthday in isolation last month! We did our best to make the best of it, but we’re 100% celebrating it again as soon as the quarantine is over!
Anyway, let’s not focus on the negative. Below are some of my faves from March!
For a long time, I’ve given up on self tanner and just accepted myself for the pale human that I am. However, then Sivan Ayla released her self tanner. I love following her blog and instagram so I just had to get my hands on this new product of hers. Fortunately, it worked fabulously for me and did not disappoint. It applies evenly, smells wonderfully (not like your other gross tanners), and wears beautifully. Although you don’t need a mitt to apply it, I still like to use this mitt from Amazon.
I’ve mentioned this self tanner in my Selfcare Routine video, if you’d like to know a little more about it.
Ever since the quarantine began, I’ve been living in my Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan. It’s like being snuggled under the Barefoot Dreams blanket, but without feeling like a lazy bum. It’s super soft and cozy. Sadly, it is on the pricier end of the scale. However, I’m so glad I purchased it back in December because it is fabulous quality and washes really well so far so I’m sure it’ll last me a very long time. Plus, knowing that it’s a more expensive piece than my TJ Maxx pajama bottoms makes me feel like I have my life together despite the fact that I might be wearing those pajama bottoms 24/7 LOL.
Right before the quarantine began, someone I follow on instagram was selling their marble dining table. As soon as I saw her insta-story, I jumped on the opportunity and hubs went to pick up the table that same week. We used to have a dark brown wooden table before, which we got from FaceBook Marketplace as soon as we finished our home renovation. I knew that I wanted to eventually change it to something that is more my style (I was never a fan of the wooden dining tables) and fortunately this change came sooner than later. During this quarantine, I’ve been sitting at this table non-stop and using it as my “work from home” station.
A few days before lockdown, before we all realized how serious this virus was, my sister and I had a dinner at Parc in Rittenhouse Square. This French restaurant is basically a classic here in Philly. We ordered the Salmon Tartare and a delicious pasta, ate two rounds of bread bowls, and just people watched. It truly was a delightful evening.
I hope you had a lovely March despite the sadness that is currently covering our world. And I also hope you are doing well while in quarantine this month. I’d love to know what has been helping you get through these long days while we wait for this virus to stop spreading so rapidly.
