3 Face Masks I’m Loving Lately

The last time I talked about anything related to skincare on here was back in April of 2020 (see my fave DIY face mask). And the last time I mentioned a favorite (not DIY) face mask to you was all the way back in May of 2019 (see why I raved about the Summer Friday’s R+R face mask). A lot has changed since then. A LOT. It’s been 2.5 years. So let’s talk about what face masks I’ve been loving lately.

In quarantine, I’ve spent a lot of my time masking my face. A lot more than I used to, which I didn’t think was possible. At one point during lockdown, I’ve run out of my serums and lotions and, instead of repurchasing them, I just used face masks as my skincare routine. I mean, what was the point of purchasing skincare items if I’m not seeing anyone anyway?

So here’s what I’ve been using + loving….

Summer Friday’s Overtime Mask

Yep, another Summer Friday’s mask in my rotation. They’re THAT good. I love the Jet Lag one for moisturizing (I actually use it for my hands too!) and the R+R one for a light exfoliation + glow. But in the past few months I’ve been using the Overtime mask consistently for a more thorough exfoliation compared to the R+R mask. In addition to helping to exfoliate, this mask has pumpkin as an ingredient, which helps to clarify + brighten your skin too. Now that I think about it, this would be a perfect mask for the fall time! It smells like gingerbread cookies to me, so delish.

I usually start majority of my face masking sessions with this mask because I feel like once I exfoliate my skin + remove all the dead skin cells, then the next mask (usually one of the ones listed below) will absorb better into my skin instead of absorbing into dead skin cells.

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask

My sister introduced me to this one. I’ve never really been intrigued to try any of the Fresh skincare items but my sister told me I was missing out and gifted me the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask. This mask is almost a do-it-all kind of face mask. It helps to combat dull skin, helps to hydrate, smooths skin texture, and makes your skin slightly more supple. It’s fabulous. On the pricey side, but it’s fabulous. Maybe it’s just the word “Youth” in its name, but I always feel more youthful after wearing this facemask for 15-20 minutes. It also feels super refreshing on the skin, which I feel also helps to combat redness a bit.

Herbivore Blue Tansy Clarity Mask

Another gem that I just can’t get enough of. Whenever my skin feels full of gunk or if I feel a pimple coming out or I just want to restart my skin and freshen it up a bit, I apply this Herbivore Blue Tansy mask and it’s magical. After leaving it on for 15-20 minutes, I truly feel like my pores have been unclogged. And you know how some face masks you take off and hope that they did their job? With this one, you don’t have to hope because you know it did the job. It feels so satisfying afterwards. Plus, not only does it have clarifying properties, but it also helps to exfoliate, soothe your skin and reduce redness. Another fabulous product in my lineup.

I hope you found this post helpful and give at least one of these face masks a try. It’s worth every penny.

I would also love to know which face masks you have been using lately and loving! Let me know in the comments below.
